Candida Cleanse
Candida is a
type of yeast that inhabits the mucous membranes of the
respiratory and digestive tracts. Candida lives harmoniously
with other intestinal flora in normal conditions. When the
environment in the digestive tract changes, however, an
overgrowth of Candida upsets the natural balance of
microorganisms, a condition called
Candidiasis.
The Dr. Clark
Candida Cleanse Kit is a combination of herbs and natural
compounds that work synergistically to eradicate the
overgrowth of Candida yeast. Do this cleanse in conjunction
with a Candida diet for better results. When taken daily as
directed, this cleanse will last slightly more that one
month.
We
are exposed to Candida on a routine basis. The microscopic
Candida spores are carried in the air, easily landing on our
skin or being inhaled through the mouth and nose. As the
spores reproduce, a healthy immune system can keep Candida
growth in check. But a compromised immune system or certain
lifestyle habits can leave the body susceptible to Candida
overgrowth:
-
Prolonged use of antibiotics
-
Taking
birth control pills
-
Use of
cortisone drugs
-
Over
consumption of sugar and carbohydrates, especially
highly processed ones
Antibiotics
upset the natural balance of microorganisms in the gut by
killing the friendly bacteria that normally prevent Candida
overgrowth. With little or no bacteria to compete with,
Candida will freely reproduce in an ideal environment—moist
and access to food (fermenting sugars in the intestines).
Signs
of a Candida overgrowth can show up in the mouth as
oral thrush (white patches in the mouth and on the
tongue) and on the skin as a rash. Babies are susceptible to
thrush and diaper rash because their immune systems are not
strong enough to control the growth of the yeast. Similarly,
the elderly are susceptible to thrush because their immune
systems tend to weaken with age. Certain health conditions
such as diabetes and HIV may also increase the chances of
developing thrush.*
Uncontrolled
Candida growth allows the yeast to enter into the blood
stream through burrowed holes in the intestinal walls. Once
in the blood stream, Candida is transported to various
regions and organs throughout the body, where it can wreak
havoc in many ways.

Candida Cleanse - Product Benefit
It’s important
to heal the immune system so it can better defend the body
against harmful microorganisms, such as an uncontrolled
Candida population increase. Equally important is optimizing
digestion to avoid the fermentation of undigested food
particles, which feed Candida. Following a Candida diet
reduces the food source that supports Candida growth. Avoid
sugars, alcohol, carbohydrates, dairy products, processed
meats, and fruits and vegetables rated high on the glycemic
index.
Taking a blend
of herbs with anit-fungal properties, such as those in the
Dr. Clark Candida Cleanse Kit, helps to kill the yeast
cells, balance the microorganisms in the digestive tract,
and nurture the immune system.
Oregano oil
has high concentrations of two phenols that are effective at
combating fungal infections. Carvacrol and thymol are
thought to dehydrate and kill Candida yeast cells when these
compounds react with water in the blood stream. The natural
compound menthol found in peppermint oil also has antifungal
properties.
Peppermint Oil
can increase a person’s immunity to various diseases and is
commonly employed by those people with weak immune systems
or who seem to frequently suffer from illness. Peppermint
oil is also known to have powerful antiviral, antibacterial,
and antifungal effects, which is why it is used in so many
alternative treatments. It is composed of camphor, menthol,
and carvacrol, which are resistant to certain dangerous
bacterial strains like E. coli, salmonella, and staph
infections. The full range of resistance to bacteria is not
quite known yet, but studies continue all the time.
Raz-Caps
is a blend of herbs with antimicrobial and immune boosting
properties. Pumpkin seed is rich in omega-3 fatty acids,
which have antifungal properties and help to combat symptoms
of depression—a possible side effect of a Candida
overgrowth. Garlic is a potent antibacterial and antifungal
herb and also a well-known immune booster. The disulfide
ajoene in garlic is a powerful compound against Candida.
Cayenne is high in Vitamin A, which supports healthy mucous
membranes that line the intestinal and urinary tracts. This
lining is the first line of defense against potentially
harmful pathogens. Cayenne is also a digestive aid and helps
to clear the bowels of Candida and other toxins. Thyme
promotes a healthy immune system and helps to fight
infections in the digestive, respiratory, and genitouninary
tracts, where Candida likes to inhabit.
Ginger root
is widely used for digestive aid purposes, as it soothes
inflammation that may accompany a Candida infection in the
intestinal tract. Pau d’Arco is also an anti-inflammatory,
in addition to being a potent antifungal.
Olive leaf,
also an anti-fungal herb, helps to stabilize blood sugar.
One of the keys to combating sugar cravings, a symptom of
Candida overgrowth, is to regulate blood sugar levels.
Elevated blood glucose levels fuel Candida overgrowth.
Glutamine,
the most abundant amino acid in the body, performs a similar
blood sugar stabilizing function, and also helps to
regenerate digestive tract tissue.
Chromium
(as chromium picolinate) encourages the pancreas to produce
insulin, the hormone that keeps blood sugar from spiking and
falling too drastically.
Papain,
an enzyme derived from papaya, helps to optimize digestion
by inhibiting the fermentation of undigested food—a culprit
for supplying Candida with fermented sugars. Papain aids in
protein digestion. Undigested protein in the gut feeds
bacteria, a process that increases ammonia levels. Good
bacteria cannot live in an environment with high ammonia
levels, but Candida and other harmful pathogens can.
Furthermore, when Candida cell membranes are weakened, their
protein-rich interiors are vulnerable to the
protein-digesting powers of papain.
